Delivering the "New York Post" during The Yes Men's Climate Change Media Hoax - 9/21/09
Hi, I'm Adrian.
I study media and, incidentally, you.
I have spent much of my life sampling various forms of media - photography, writing, public speaking, music, film, publishing, graphic design, and whatever the latest technobuzz is - all with the aim of submitting ideas into the public sphere for people to engage with them.
I'm motivated by great storytelling and positive social movements that allow you and me to see how much we have in common, despite our differences.
I was born and raised in the historic Southern city of Richmond, Virginia but I have been a traitor nomad in the Northeast since 1998 - first attending prep school in New Hampshire at Phillips Exeter Academy, continuing to Connecticut for college at Yale, and now residing in New York City.
I am currently a student in the M.A. Media Studies program at The New School focusing on public opinion, public space, the public mind, propaganda (ask and I'll tell you why it's not a bad word) and, apparently, the letter 'P'.
If you like what you see here, feel free to follow me on Twitter, introduce yourself on Facebook, and 'prepare to be shared' with plenty of links to news, views, and other cool stuff I think you should see.
I have some exciting projects brewing, so be sure to stay tuned!
P.S. - The Too Short graphic is made from an original photo by Michael Ochs Archives/Getty Images. I'm not trying to get Shepard Fairey'd!
